Riad Star is located in the historic Kaat Benahid district of Central Marrakech.  It touches, and was formerly part of, the famous Marrakech Museum.

For most of the last century the Riad was owned by the family of the Pashah of Marrakech who used it for entertaining long staying house guests including vaudeville star Josephine Baker.
