Each of our rooms has its own personality, all have everything you need to enjoy your stay in Marrakech including air conditioning, en suite facilities, mini fridge, room safe, hairdryer, flat screen TV, luxurious pure silk duvets and complimentary toiletries. We offer two Superior Rooms (Jazz and Rainbow) each priced at UK £140 per night (approximately US $175 or €160); four Medina Rooms (Peace, Harmony, Grace and Liberty) priced at UK £160 per night (approximately US $200 or € 185) and five Junior Suites (Josephine, Star, Charleston, Pasha and Paris)  priced at UK £180 per night (approximately US $225 or € 207). Our three full suites (Ebony, Ivory and Chiquita) are  fabulous value at UK £220 (approximately US $275 or €265). There is a 20% discount for online bookings for stays in July and August. Breakfast is included in the room rate and will be served at the time of your choice.

 

 

 

Jazz Room

The large Art Deco style cedar doors with coloured glass windows set the tone for this fun room. Decorated with a ‘Jazz’ theme, you will find a Saxophone and clarinet if you feel inspired to play! You have the option of one double or two twin beds (200 x 160 cm) with a stylish en suite shower room. There is a on open fireplace with space to relax for an unforgettable Marrakech experience.

Josephine Room

Unusually for Marrakech this room has a window onto the street. It is believed the Pashah of Marrakech paid children to sit outside Josephine’s window and read for her while she was convalescing. A romantic double or twin (bed 190 by 150 cm), with spacious en suite featuring shower and tub. Traditional Moroccan decor with 21st century comforts. Can be interconnecting with the Star room.

Star Room

Heavily decorated with stunning hand carved plasterwork this spacious room is truly fit for a Star. A double or twin (bed 190 by 150 cm) with a cosy seating area, the sofa can be made as a third bed at an extra charge (£20).  Double windows overlook the peaceful Riad courtyard while the en suite shower has a discrete window onto the bustling Marrakech street. Can be interconnecting with the Josephine room.

Pasha Room

According to Marrakech legend Josephine Baker was close to the Pasha Thami El Glaoui. It was at his invitation that she stayed in the guest house that is now Riad Star. Our Pasha Room showcases the best of Moroccan crafts, a wonderful tented room with rich textiles and intricate details. The generous en suite bathroom has a hand carved plaster dome.

It can be offered as a double (200cm by 160cm) or twin room. With the option of an extra single bed at additional cost.

Amenities include a mini fridge, room safe, Wi-Fi, satellite TV, and unusually for Marrakech a bath tub.

Paris Room

A glamorous room celebrating the golden age of the Casino de Paris Music Hall.  Generous double or twin (bed 200 by 160 cm)  a further single bed can be provided at an extra charge (£20). Appealing to the extrovert in all us, the decor includes a stunning red feathered head-dress worn on the Paris stage.  Take in the atmosphere as you enjoy a mint tea in the spacious sitting area.

Rainbow Room

The Rainbow room celebrates tolerance. diversity and Josephine’s adopted family of 12 children from different nations. Located in the heart of the Riad its pretty Juliet balcony overlooks the courtyard. The bed sits inside a classic Moroccan arch. Double or twin (bed 190 by 160 cm). You will love the cheerful colours of the room decor and the quality of light through the antique coloured glass in the feature window.

Chiquita Room

Josephine’s pet Cheetah, Chiquita, famously joined her on stage at the Casino de Paris. Our most requested room at Riad Star is the Chiquita suite located on roof terrace, near to the Hammam and Massage room sleeping up to five people. 

The main bedroom can be double or twin  (bed 190 by 160cm) a further single bed can be provided at an extra charge.  You will love the fireplace and the intricately decorated arch behind the bed. The famous Koutoubia mosque is visible from the shower room window.

The suite also has a cosy sitting room in the style of a tent, this can be prepared as a second bedroom with twin beds (200 by 80) or a double (200 by 160).   A small shower room and toilet ensures privacy for guests in this part of the suite and makes Chiquita perfect accommodation for a family or a group of friends sharing.   Make your reservationtoday!

Charleston Room

The Charleston room transports you back to the roaring twenties.  With separate sleeping area and sitting room this elegant mini suite is located on the ground floor patio, near the dipping pool.  Double or twin (bed 200 by 150cm) the sofa can be made as a third bed at an extra charge (£20). The elegant decor is evocative of the Jazz age with hand made tasseled lampshades and a vintage statue of a flapper dancing.

Ebony Room

Josephine was known as the Ebony Venus. The fabulous Ebony room is the perfect family suite sleeping up to six people.  The principal bathroom features a bathtub and there is also a second shower room en suite to the private sleeping area.

The Ivory room is your perfect African retreat. The main space is double height with stunning plaster decorations, upstairs is a private sleeping area The Ivory room is a full suite with two shower rooms.

The Grace room is a stunning second floor room which features a meditation pod lovingly crafted by one of Moroccos finest plasterwork artisans.

The Peace room is located on the first floor and offers similar accommodation to the Grace Room. You will love the intricate plaster and woodwork, the meditation pod alone took a month to hand carve.

Whole Riad Experience
